St. Luke Parish is seeking a full time Pastoral Assistant for Youth Ministry! This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team in an established youth ministry program.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with the Pastoral Leader, staff, and consultative bodies in implementing the mission of the parish.
- Assures the development of programs and activities for middle school and high school youth that foster spiritual formation.
This should include but not be limited to weekly youth nights, retreats, social events, recreation, athletic activities, outreach programs, youth-oriented liturgies, and community service opportunities.
Recruits, enables, directs, trains and supervises youth ministry team members, catechists and other personnel for faith formation programs for middle school and high school youth.
Confirmation is NOT part of this position.
- Develops and administers the youth program budget as delegated by the pastoral leader. Coordinates fundraising efforts for special youth experiences mission trips, conferences, etc.
- Maintains a level of knowledge and skills required for this ministry through regular updating, reading appropriate materials and participation at workshops and conventions.
Participates in local, regional and national professional organizations, as approved and as appropriate.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree and experience in youth ministry in a Catholic parish as a Youth Minister, Catechist, or other proven leadership is preferred.
- Must be a practicing Roman Catholic and fully participate in sacramental life.
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
