Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute engaging job postings on the Liv Communities career site, Liv landing, and relevant platforms. Internal postings are required to be active for at least five days before any employment offers can be made.
  • Manage current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS), Indeed, and other platforms.
  • Utilize a range of resources, such as traditional and creative sourcing methods to identify and attract talented candidates that align with the organization's brand values and current / future staffing needs.

Career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, social media, etc.)

  • Collaborate with operational leaders and hiring managers to proactively source and fulfill all hiring requirements across the organization.
  • Communicate effectively with hiring managers to ensure a clear understanding of their staffing needs, interview availability, and the overall hiring process.
  • Foster strong community relationships and partnerships to enhance sourcing strategies and build a robust talent pipeline.
  • Maintain a comprehensive strategic plan with goals, including an annual calendar of events, job fairs, partnerships, sourcing contacts, and referral sources.
  • Work with the Marketing team to design and execute advertising programs (both internal and external) to increase visibility and attract quality candidates.
  • Deliver employment offers for multifamily and home office positions and guide candidates through the pre-hire process.

Provide them with all necessary employment information, including benefits, compensation, etc.

  • Thoroughly review all pre-hire documents submitted to ensure accuracy and completion.
  • Conduct or facilitate appropriate reference / background / drug screen / credit checks as appropriate for the position.
  • Review criminal activity on background reports and complete the criminal background review process then submit review sheet and background report to the Director of Human Resources and Chief People Officer along with recommendation for hire (or decline).
  • Work with the Sr Admin Assistant for Multifamily to facilitate the process of obtaining Strength Finders name plates for new home office hires.
  • Provide assistance to hiring managers and pre-hire candidates with any onboarding questions or issues that arise.
  • Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding the recruiting process.
  • Foster strong relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure successful achievement of staffing goals, including working with approved staffing agencies as necessary.
  • Work with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal / state laws and regulations.
  • Lead the recruiting process for new developments and acquisitions from the planning phases through complete staff up by developing specific staffing plans that detail timelines, recruitment methods and KPI tracking reports.
  • Provide guidance and side-by-side participation, facilitation, collaboration, and training for hiring managers on the full recruitment process.
  • With the support of the Director of Human Resources (DHR) identify challenges and bottlenecks in the hiring process, research solutions, and implement positive change.
  • Consistently improve upon existing practices and resources and implement new best practices and ideas to improve the recruitment process and employer branding strategies.
  • Manage temporary employment process with all providers and managers.
  • Have an excellent understanding of all job designs to best qualify, culture add candidates.
  • Manages the HRHiring and recruiting email box daily to ensure all messages are answered and all pre-hire candidates that have been submitted are processed accurately and timely.
  • Works closely with the Payroll Team to manage the referral bonus process.
  • Manages new hire and internal transfer process, including checking salary ranges and FLSA status.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of prior corporate recruiting or related experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multitasked environment.
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, Power Point, LinkedIn, Facebook, Indeed, and other social media sites.
  • High degree of confidentiality.
  • PHR / SPHR or SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP preferred.
