Power BI Developer

Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilledand motivated Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for designing developingand deploying business intelligence (BI) solutions using MicrosoftPower BI.

This role requires a deep understanding of data modelingdata analysis and report development to provide actionable insightsand help drive decisionmaking processes.

KeyResponsibilities :

Power BI Report and DashboardDevelopment :

• Designdevelop and maintain interactive and visually appealing reports anddashboards using Power BI.
• Create and optimizeDAX formulas for data calculations andvisualizations.
• Integrate Power BI reports withother data sources like SQL Server Azure Exceletc.
• Implement rowlevel security in Power BIreports and dashboards.

Data Modeling andTransformation :

• Buildand manage complex data models in Power BI by transforming raw datainto meaningful insights.
• Use Power Query tocleanse and transform data from varioussources.
• Collaborate with data engineers toensure data is accurately captured andtransformed.

DataAnalysis and Insights :

• Perform detailed data analysis to identifytrends patterns and anomalies.
• Provide insightsand recommendations based on data findings to support businessdecisions.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliabilityof data visualizations and analyses.

Collaboration and StakeholderManagement :

• Workclosely with business analysts data engineers and otherstakeholders to understand business requirements and translate theminto technical solutions.
• Communicateeffectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders toensure the successful delivery of BIsolutions.
• Provide training and support toendusers on Power BI reports and dashboards.

Performance Tuning andOptimization :

• OptimizePower BI dashboards for performance ensuring reports load quicklyand efficiently.
• Monitor and troubleshootperformance issues with reports and datamodels.
• Stay uptodate with the latest Power BIfeatures and best practices.

Documentation andGovernance :

• Maintaincomprehensive documentation of Power BI solutions including datamodels reports and dashboards.
• Implement andenforce BI governance standards to ensure data accuracy consistencyand security.
• Support the implementation ofPower BI administration including workspace and usermanagement.

RequiredSkills and Qualifications :

Education : Bachelors degreein Computer Science Information Systems or a relatedfield.

Experience : 4 years of experience as a Power BIDeveloper or in a similar BI role.

TechnicalProficiency :

• Advancedproficiency in Power BI including Power Query DAX and datamodeling.
• Strong knowledge of SQL andexperience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL ServerOracle).
• Experience with data integration tools(e.g. SSIS Azure Data Factory) is aplus.
• Familiarity with other BI tools likeTableau Qlik or SSRS is anadvantage.
• Understanding of data warehousingconcepts and ETL processes.

ProblemSolving : Stronganalytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems andprovide actionable insights.

Communication : Excellentcommunication skills with the ability to explain complex technicalconcepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

Attention to Detail : Highlevel of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis andreporting.

Certifications : MicrosoftPower BI certification (e.g. DA100) is a plus.

PreferredQualifications :

• Experience working in specific industryrelevant to your company.
• Familiarity withcloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Good to haveexperience in scripting languages such as SQL Python or R for dataanalysis.
