Your Role :
Mid Coast Medical Group Orthopedics has an immediate opening for a full-time Medical Assistant . This position supports a practice that includes 11 Orthopedic and Sports Medicine providers with sub-specialties in Foot & Ankle, Hand, Shoulder, and Total Joint Replacement.
The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as experience working in a fast-paced, detail oriented environment.
The candidate must be computer-proficient, self-motivated, flexible, and both task and patient focused. A demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment is integral for success.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) :
- Education : High school diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements : graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed;
- or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting;
or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
License / Certifications : Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within 1 year of eligibility.
Current BLS certification within 3 months of hire required. An NH Med Tech License is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
Experience : 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or 6 months of experience and certification required. Additional Skills / Requirements Required : N / A Additional Skills / Requirements Preferred : N / A
