Position : Student Union Reservationist Location : Los Angeles, CA
Job Id : 221-160 # of Openings : 50 Salary : $17.30 / hr Summary of Job Responsibilities : Under the direction of the Event Services Reservations Coordinator, student reservationists are responsible for ensuring that the reservation process for ASUCLA Event Services-managed event and meeting spaces runs smoothly.
Duties include : Reserve meeting room, banner space, room lottery for registered campus organizations and event venues for Student Group, University and off-campus clients adhering to and informing clients of all relevant University and Student Union policies and procedures.
Recommend the best venue for clients after thoroughly gauging the clients’ event needs including capacity, setup type, and other details.
Perform administrative tasks. Discuss and record Student Group programmers’ event needs. Work with Event Managers and Division Manager on miscellaneous projects as needed. Student Learning Outcomes :
- Students will learn how to manage the day-to-day operations of an office
- Students will learn to use and manage internal software platforms (such as EMS, RoomViewer, etc.)
- Students will learn to effectively communicate with diverse clients in-person, via email, and via telephone using professional language and etiquette
- Students will learn all that goes into an event planning process (UC policies, procedures, and compliance, layouts / diagrams, setup, funding allocations, advertising, room lottery, etc.)
