We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Nurse to join our team near Saint Paul,Minnesota. This full-time, hybrid position requires a Licensed School Nurse (LSN) certification.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with diverse populations and the ability to manage and support staff effectively.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive healthcare to students, including health assessments, interventions, and follow-ups.
- Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with chronic health conditions.
- Manage and supervise the school health office staff, ensuring a high standard of care and efficiency.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and parents to promote a healthy school environment.
- Conduct health education sessions and wellness programs for students and staff.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records in compliance with state regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee immunization programs and screenings.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
- Advocate for the health needs of all students, especially those from diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications :
- Must hold a current Licensed School Nurse (LSN) certification in the state of Minnesota.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and support a team of healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience working with diverse populations and understanding cultural competency in healthcare.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and other healthcare technology.
