Structural Welder Role : Starting pay is $21 - $30 based on applicant skill and experience level. $1,000 Sign-on Bonus!

Annual review with opportunity for pay increase based on performance. Annual Bonus based on performance. Interview includes hands-on welding test.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Fabrication Team Leader, this position will be performing various structural welds and fitting for all of our unitized systems (can lines).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Consistently weld structural and carbon steel in 3G, 4G, and 2F fillet weld using FCAW, GMAW, and GMAW-spray.
• Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits including, but not limited to : forklifts, overhead cranes, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of lay out, positioning, aligning, and securing parts and assemblies prior to assembly.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
• Consistently pass non-destructive (x-ray, etc.) examinations of FCAW welds on required products.
• Regular attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.
• Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as : dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures. Potential exposure to jobsites both domestically and internationally; living accommodations in some foreign assignments may not meet expected U.S. standards.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis is required. Must be able to stand / walk 90% of the time and sit 10% of the time.
