Job Summary :

The Auto Collision Technician at Husker GMC is a full-time, hourly position within the auto industry located in Lincoln, Nebraska.

This individual contributor role is responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining quality standards.

Compensation & Benefits :

The Auto Collision Technician will receive a competitive hourly wage of $20 to $30, paid biweekly.

In addition, the employee will have access to benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Responsibilities :

  • Inspect damaged vehicles and determine necessary repairs
  • Disassemble and reassemble vehicles to diagnose and repair damage
  • Perform body and frame repairs, including welding, sanding, and painting
  • Replace damaged parts and perform mechanical repairs as needed
  • Use computerized measuring systems to ensure accurate repairs
  • Communicate with customers to explain repairs and provide estimates
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to safety standards and follow proper procedures for use of equipment and chemicals

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in auto collision repair
  • Knowledge of various repair techniques and tools
  • Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and estimates
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
