Strategic Insight, Ltd. is seeking a Systems Engineer Program Protection Plan (PPP) Tasking (General Associate) position in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) for the Strategic and Computing Systems Department (A) department, with the Computing Integration and Analysis (A36) division.
Job location is Dahlgren, King George, VA.
Mandatory Requirement : Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information at the Secret clearance level.

Originally established in 1918 as a naval proving ground for testing gun weapon systems, NSWC Dahlgren Division has evolved to focus on advances in technology in Warfare Systems Development and Integration.
The NSWC Dahlgren Division is a leading research, development, testing, and engineering (RDT&E) organization within the Department of the Navy.
Re sponsibilities include but are not limited to :
- This tasking can be performed at the contractor’s facility or remotely, however it may require onsite support at times,
- Aid in the definition and maintenance of top-level system architectures for System Security and Program Protection Planning.
Program requirements that satisfy fleet needs and assist in the translation of those requirements into system concepts and plans,
- Provide systems engineering support for the continuous evaluation and refinement of new and existing system level requirements and upgrades,
- Provide recommendations for the update of the requirements or recommendations for design options that can satisfy the requirements, and
- Support software, models and simulations in the development, approval and configuration management of the software requirements artifacts.
This includes participating in peer reviews of the requirements, test plans, test procedures, test reports, and the development and testing of models and simulations.
Success for working in this position requires :
- Systems Engineer and / or Weapon Systems Engineer experience. However, Security Systems or Cyberspace Systems experience would work,
- Navy background is ideal but not required. Especially with Navigation or Vertical Launching System experience,
- PPP experience is ideal however if you are energetic about learning and have the Navy experience, we would like you to apply,
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with NSWC Dahlgren Division and Department staff at all levels, consultants, and other government staff be a team player,
- Ability to work with sensitive and classified information,
- Ability to work with NMCI systems,
- Ability to adapt and multi-task,
- Ability to work with a high degree of independence, discretion, and personal initiative,
- Self-starter, goal oriented, provides timely feedback on progress made on assignments,
- Excellent organizational skills : ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks, handle complex assignments, maintain status across several stakeholders, and work in a fast-paced environment,
- Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills,
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) including the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets, prepare presentation slides, and produce customized reports, and
- Familiar with Atalanta tool sets such as Confluence and JIRA.
Education and Experience :
Systems Engineer / Analyst : A Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, or four (4) years of a demonstrated knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to specific technical disciplines of the SOW, including the qualifications below;
or US Naval operational experience at the E7 level or higher, and
In addition, six (6) years of engineering experience with a DoD major weapon, combat, and / or fire control systems program.
Experience in concept definition, DoDAF compliant architecture development, requirements definition, and initial and detailed system design activities.
Systems engineering experience focused on requirements development and management of software systems. This includes experience related to the identification, analysis, and documentation of complex systems involving DOD weapon, combat, and / or fire control systems.
Two (2) years of concurrent experience with Navy surface or submarine shipboard weapons, combat, and / or fire control systems to include current Navy programs such as SLBM and Aegis.
One Engineer / Analyst experienced with engineering tools such as DOORS, Change Synergy, and System Architect.
