We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in our accounting department by assisting with the auditing process, conducting financial research, processing journal entries, assisting with tax preparation, preparing financial reports, and balancing the general ledger.
Responsibilities :
- Support daily accounting functions to ensure smooth operation of the department
- Participate in Month End / Year End Close activities to maintain accurate financial records
- Carry out Account Reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of our financial data
- Maintain the general ledger by posting and revising entries
- Prepare and record Journal Entries to keep our financial records up-to-date
- Resolve accounting discrepancies to maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial information
- Engage in ad hoc projects as requested to support the overall goals of the accounting department
The candidate should have diverse accounting skills including proficiency in CCH Prosystem, QuickBooks, Audit, and Creative Problem Solving.
Strong communication skills and a CPA qualification are also essential for this role.
