Job Summary : Responsible forpromoting educating and executing the PUPS training methodology inthe interest of helping our members develop the best possiblerelationship with their dogs.
Prior experience training dogs isrequired but we are extremely willing to help you grow in anycapacity. PUPS will invest a significant amount of time educatingyou on our methodology dog psychology and effective trainingtechniques.
Essential functions and responsibilities :
- Communicatingeffectively with members
- Designing personalizedeffective training regimens for pet parents and their dogs
- Obedience trainingbehavior modification and management techniques
- Supporting the team withtraining knowledge and expertise
- Coordinating scheduleswith members prospective members & PUPS team members
- Executing varioustraining programs and providing material support to members
- Conducting evaluationswith prospective members to determine which training regimen wouldbest suit them
- Managingtraining schedule
- Assisting PUPS teammembers in the training sales process
- Representing PUPS in aprofessional and positive manner
Compe tencies :

- Ability to prioritizetasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function wellin a highpaced and at times stressful environment.
Education andExperience :
- High schooldiploma or GED.
- Certification through theCertification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) isadvantageous.
- Soundknowledge of dog training techniques as well as animal behavior andbody language.
- Provenexperience working as a dog trainer.
- Excellent problemsolvingorganizational and time management skills.
- Strong dog handlingskills.
- Effectivecommunication skills.
- Alove for dogs.
- Patientand enthusiastic.
PhysicalRequirements :
- Stand forlong periods of time.
- Walk or run for longperiods of time.
- Repeatthe same movements.
- Bendor twist their body.
- Mustbe able to safely lift dogs of up to 50 lbs.
