Walter's Automotive is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Automotive HR Assistant / Recruiter to support our Human Resources department in the dynamic and fast-paced automotive industry.
The ideal candidate will assist in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll, compliance, and training.
This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
Key Responsibilities :
- Recruitment and Staffing : Support the recruitment process by posting job advertisements, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and participating in job fairs tailored to the automotive sector.
- Employee Relations : Act as a liaison between employees and management to address queries and concerns related to HR policies, job duties, and career development opportunities.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration : Help in processing payroll and managing employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Compliance : Aid in maintaining legal compliance with employment laws and regulations, with a specific focus on the automotive industry's standards and practices.
- HR Records Management : Maintain and update HR files and records, ensuring confidentiality and security of employee information.
- Employee Engagement and Retention : Contribute to initiatives aimed at boosting employee engagement and retention, recognizing the unique environment of the automotive sector.
- Diversity and Inclusion : Promote diversity and inclusion efforts to create a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications :
- Prior experience in an HR / Recruiter role, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
