POSITION SUMMARY :

Plans, directs, facilitates and coordinates accreditation and regulatory compliance activities for Northwest Texas Healthcare System.

Serves as the organizational liaison with The Joint Commission and other pertinent regulatory or accrediting agencies.

PROVISION OF SERVICES :

• Demonstrates leadership in the provision of departmental services through a collaborative process designed to integrate services / functions throughout NWTHS.
• Directs daily operations and activities of accreditation services.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED :

• Bachelor’s degree in health care field, or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Current Texas licensure from an accredited school of nursing or other health care field.
• Minimum of five years experience in an acute care health care facility.
• Prior experience in survey accreditation process.
• Thorough knowledge of various accreditation standards (especially Joint Commission), as well as State and Federal health care regulations as required.
• Three years supervisory experience.
• Demonstrates high level of organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to perform statistical analysis on data.
