HVAC Controls Sales Executive
Company Overview
Our client is a leader in the commercial HVAC contracting business with multiple clients located throughout the Greater Detroit Metro market.
They are seeking a HVAC Controls Sales Executive for their Auburn Hills, MI office. Qualified candidates must maintain the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.
The overall responsibility of the HVAC Controls Sales Executive is to seek out, develop, estimate, sell, organize, and manage commercial and industrial HVAC controls projects for new and existing clients.
Extensive technical knowledge in both the commercial and industrial HVAC trades is required.
What Makes You A Good Fit?
- High school diploma; associate’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of related experience in Control system installation, programming, and sales (any major platform)
- 5+ years of experience in general building services and construction.
- Ability to effectively present technical information.
- Effectively communicate issues related to energy / building services internally and
- externally.
Role / Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Customer relationships by offering Building Automation Solutions that are essential to their short and long-term operational and financial goals with a focus on Projects and Upgrades for Controls.
- Assists the General Manager by using the sales CRM in order to monitor the selling activity, project financial status, progress, and forecasting of sales.
- Help and guide clients in partnership with the company to plan, design, execute, maintain, and monitor building system changes and modifications as required to meet their goals.
- Work with the Mechanical Services group, to analyze, evaluate, and track utility operating costs to assist in planning for any capital expenditures or new acquisitions for the client.
- Perform onsite due diligence or general building surveys as required by the situation to qualify or gather data required for the sales process.
- Estimate and create proposals for any project as part of a capital plan or emergency project or upgrade from an equipment or system failure.
- Assist in completing any analysis reports for presentation including all estimates and proposals related to each specific opportunity.
- Develop new business and relationships finding new opportunities for sales and future growth.
- Work with all internal groups such as engineering, programming, graphics, and / or energy to develop complete solutions for our customers.
- Track all proposals, sales, and opportunities and establish patterns within the different market sectors for sales projections.
- Maintain a centralized point of contact approach between all parties including the company, and Property Management or Owner.
- Field verify installation practices and operations for quality control.
- Maintain communication with all groups to verify current and upcoming schedule requirements.
- Assist with job completion requirements and communication including any end-user turnover requirements or change orders.
- Work with and communicate professionally and thoroughly with the company team, clients, and vendors.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner complying with OSHA regulations and company rules.
Compensation & Location
This position will be based out of Metro Detroit. This is a full-time position that is available for immediate hire. A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that will include a base salary, aggressive commission plan, monthly auto allowance, and comprehensive benefits.
