Overview

Why We Need Your Talents :

The Director of Advertising is responsible for managing the processes and maintaining a cohesive and constant image for the company in all advertising, paid media, print production, and signage.

This role is accountable for all forms and venues for advertising to promote the Live! Casino & Hotel brand and affiliated partners.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact :

  • Manage external agencies on all aspects of media planning and buying, creative development, and execution.
  • Determine the best use of media across all platforms, including print, broadcast, digital and OOH.
  • Manage internal agency including web / graphic designers, in house social and account managers.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate design vision from inception to execution
  • Manage internal coordination of all marketing deliverables including website assets, social media content creation, print ads, on-property collateral, direct marketing assets, hotel and sales collateral, and radio scripts
  • Oversee all social media calendar planning and content creation team
  • Must be able to manage and review marketing campaign results and understand how to achieve positive results via the media spend and on-site activations.
  • Owns the brand standards for all creative assets in association with Live! Casino & Hotel
  • Must be responsible for managing all sponsorship inventory and finances. Will help to develop new sponsorship programs and maintain current partnerships
  • Manage budget by tracking expenditures, accruals, reporting, forecast and invoicing.
  • Maintain department checkbook and end of month P&L reconciliation
  • Meet with external account executives regarding advertising opportunities. Monitor and adjust performance to local competition.
  • Manage staff development, inclusive of accountability, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and hazard free work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Highly experienced in media planning & buying, print production, creative development processes, advertising vehicles spanning traditional and digital, and reporting.
  • A broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule.
  • Five years (5) of experience in a high-volume company in the casino, entertainment / hospitality industry.
  • Oversee the advertising team and work closely with the advertising manager.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Financial and budgeting skills preferred
  • Must possess the ability to deliver and coach team to give a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.
  • Must display commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

Qualifications

Must-Haves :

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, advertising, marketing, communications or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the state.

Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to work in an environment where smoking is allowed
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs several times a day.
