Responsibilities may include :
- Registered Nurse will address the mental, behavioral and physical health needs of clients on a weekly / biweekly and / or monthly basis.
- Registered Nurse will complete in person nursing assessments as well as medication and chart review in long term care facilities (LTC).
- Registered Nurse will educate caregivers and clients on their prescribed psychiatric and physical health medications and monitor for possible side effects.
- Registered Nurse will have care management duties including coordination of community services and correspondence with treatment team members, including physicians, pharmacies, employment programs.
- Registered Nurse will assist clients in building coping skills to address mood, stressors and improve communication and in creating annual goals as it relates to their psychiatric diagnosis.
- Registered Nurse will possibly assisting clinic and residential needs for assigned locations.
- Registered Nurse will help train and mentor peers.
- Registered Nurse may need to cover more than one facility depending on company needs
Requirements for this position include :
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
- Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
- Preferably has experience working in LTC facilities as well as Behavioral Health.
- CPR or Course can be provided during training
