Survey Party Chief

We, at RQ, LLC are looking for Survey Party Chief candidates to join our growing Self-Perform Building Trades Division team located in the Jacksonville / Camp Lejeune, NC area.

The essential purpose of this position is to plan, program, lead and execute construction surveys and construction stakeout activities in support of various RQC projects and processing design information into base survey files using AutoCAD software.

Processing design files includes utilizing base topographic and location mapping, utility and grading plans using embedded AutoCAD Civil 3D software and hand calculations.

This position is responsible for coordinating and directing the work of land survey field crews in support of RQC's Mission, Vision and Values.

Personnel in this position shall have obtained entry level professional certifications as a surveyor or appropriate equivalent.

Local candidates (to the greater Jacksonville, NC area) will be given priority, though relocation will be considered. Travel to on-site project management locations on base installations will be required for the this position.

Qualifications include :

• An AAS Land Surveying and / or a BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Forestry or related 4-year degree is the minimum formal education required for this position.
• A minimum of three (3) or more years as lead survey instrument man is required; with additional building and land surveying and construction stakeout experience preferred.
• Specific civil site design and survey equipment hardware experience and software mastery (ACAD v2017 or higher) required;

proven ability and potential to independently learn and engage on continuous learning objectives.

• Licensure as Surveyor-In-Training and / or various Surveyor / Geomatics certifications desirable. .
• General computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Internet, etc.) required.
• Travel to jobsites required.
