We are seeking a Corporate Associate with a minimum of three years of experience in mergers and acquisitions to join our client’s dynamic Metro Detroit office.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the firm’s M&A practice and advise clients on complex transactions across various industries.
Responsibilities :
- Manage M&A transactions from inception to closing, including due diligence, negotiation of transaction documents, and coordination of deal closings.
- Provide strategic advice to clients on structuring transactions, corporate governance issues, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate effectively with attorneys and clients to achieve successful outcomes on transactions.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan (or eligibility for admission by motion).
- Minimum of three years of experience practicing corporate law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions at a law firm.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex M&A transactions
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
