Job Title : Sr. Engineering Manager

Overview :
My exciting New Space client is seeking a dynamic Engineering Leader to head up multiple engineering disciplines within their small organization.
This senior leadership role involves developing and implementing engineering policies, strategies, and budgets to drive innovation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee engineering teams consisting of systems, mechanical, propulsion, and software engineers, ensuring timely project execution.
- Manage strategic initiatives to enhance technical capabilities.
- Mentor and guide engineering staff, promoting career development and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project execution and risk management.
- Participate in critical design review processes.
- Lead investigations to identify root causes of technical issues, implement corrective actions, and establish preventive measures in tracking failures and problems.
- Drive process improvements and establish metrics for evaluating engineering performance.
- Oversee product development lifecycle from concept to flight operations, manage technical metrics, and produce key technical documentation.
Required Qualifications :
- 15-20+ years of engineering experience with substantial senior management experience.
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering or related field.
- Expertise in aerospace / space applications and proficiency in multiple engineering disciplines.
- Proven expertise in multiple technical disciplines (Electrical, Embedded, Mechanical, Test, Systems, and / or Software Engineering).
- Strong background in propulsion systems / propulsion components, including design and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with NASA programs, DoD customers, and commercial space customers.
