The Fatherhood Coach (Educator)
Join a team that is passionate about supporting Hillsborough County fathers. The Fatherhood Coach (Educator) leads individual face to face parenting sessions with fathers in the community.

Join our Fatherhood Team! Bilingual individual, Spanish / English is preferred. This position reports to the Lead Family Coach (Educator).
Regular Full-time, non-exempt position.
Wage rate : $20.51 to $22.05 per hour; 37.5 hours per week schedule. Approximate annual : $40,000 to $43,000. Pay will be dependent on experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Provides consultation to fathers in adherence to the evidence-based curricula adopted by the program.
- Plans and coordinates delivery of services with FRANC team to assure compliance with regulatory standards and reporting requirements (Department of Children & Families, Council on Accreditation, and curricula organization).
- Reviews screenings and assessments, utilizing program specific protocol and consult with case management when community supports are needed.
- Cultivate and manage ongoing collaborative relationships with other CFC programs as well as in the early childhood, child welfare, behavioral health, legal, housing, and family serving communities.
- Timely data entry into participant records and data collection systems.
- Prepare for and participate in case reviews with the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Adheres strictly to policies which ensure participant confidentiality.
- Participates in and supports the agency’s performance and quality improvement processes.
- Participates in outreach development and delivery of community events.
- Participates in related training and workshops.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or related field.
- Preference will be given to individuals with a minimum of 2 years prior experience supporting father and father figures with family support / case management services.
- Complete required training and certification for selected curricula, training will be provided if not already certified.
- Manage a caseload; organize and prioritize work assignments; make decisions and independent judgments; determine the appropriate course of action in emergency or stressful situations;
and recognize reportable events.
- Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Microsoft 365 web-based applications and using internet search engines and other online research tools.
- Ability to work in the office, in the community, and in the client's home (as needed).
- Available to work evenings and Saturdays and schedule visits according to participants needs.
- Bilingual in English / Spanish is an advantage but not required.
- Professional, self-directed, follow-through on projects and prompt responsiveness to internal and external stakeholders.
- Good interpersonal skills, team-oriented, customer service focused enjoys working with others.
- Strong verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively.
- Light physical demands : Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear.
- Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, kneel, bend, reach, and manipulate objects; lift and move materials up to 10 pounds on a regular basis;
infrequently require to lift or move materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Able to travel in the communities served; must have a reliable car, active auto insurance, and valid Florida driver’s license.
- Must be sensitive to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the population that Champions for Children serves.
- Must be able to successfully complete a Florida level 2 criminal background clearance, motor vehicle records check and drug screening.
