The Advisory Board on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (ABADA), Alaska Mental Health Board (AMHB) is recruiting for a Program Coordinator 2 position in Juneau.

What you will be doing :

In this role, you will have primary responsibility for supporting the strategic development, planning, implementation, and ongoing policy analysis for ABADA / AMHB’s advocacy activities.

You will also coordinate joint advocacy activities in partnership with the Alaska Mental Health Trust, partner advisory boards, stakeholders, Tribes, and Alaskans who have lived experience with mental illness, substance misuse, and co-occurring behavioral health concerns.

The Advisory Board on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (ABADA) and the Alaska Mental Health Board (AMHB) are statutorily charged with advising, planning, and coordinating behavioral health services and programs funded by the State of Alaska.

The Boards are also tasked with evaluating federal and state laws concerning mental health, alcohol, and other drug and substance misuse prevention and treatment services.

The joint mission of the advisory boards is to advocate for programs and services that promote healthy, independent, and productive Alaskans.

This position is being filled in Juneau with travel to various Alaska communities, and you may be eligible for a hybrid telework agreement.

The ABADA / AMHB office is located at 431 N Franklin St, Juneau, AK 99801, in Downtown Juneau, near the Alaska State Capitol Building.
