Position Summary
This position is responsible for teaching / offering R&R classes, as scheduled, to guests in the morning, afternoon, and / or evening, seven days a week (including holidays) in at least one of the following areas :
- Personal Growth : Self-Discovery, Creative Expression, Mindfulness, Spiritual Practice, Relationships, Growth Psychology
- Professional Development : Leadership, Communication, Career Development
- Health and Wellness : Holistic Medicine, Food and Nutrition, Ayurveda, Yoga, Healthy Lifestyle, Embodied Practices (Qi Gong, Tai Chi, etc.
Exercise and Fitness, Energy Based Practices
Accountabilities
- Warm and professional first impressions greeting guests and helping them get settled into class.
- Facilitating up to a two-hour class with input, hands-on activities and interactions among participants to maximize engagement and learning.
- Preparing appropriate materials, handouts, and / or resources.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Incorporating inspirational messages for mind, body, and emotional development throughout the class.
- Basic knowledge of technology (phones, laptops, etc.).
- Attending to diverse participants' interests and needs.
- Warmth, maturity, professionalism, and integrity.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to handle both large and small class sizes.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized.
- Classroom Set-Up / Break Down working together with our production team to maintain an impeccable environment.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Certification from recognized certification program
- Prior experience teaching Tai Chi, Qigong &Yoga.
- Availability for classes 2-3 times per week (including weekends).
- Ability to teach 2 different topics for each session, or sessions that build on each other.
- Current CPR and Basic First Aid certification.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
