Location : Elkhart, IN
Job Summary : The Environment, Health, and Safety Manager is accountable for effective safety compliance and creating and maintaining a positive and safe employee relations environment.
The EHS Manager will oversee two facilities, 10 miles apart. Their team will consist of 2 direct reports, and will report to the General Manager.
Requirements :
- Has great enthusiasm and passion for safety with a can-do collaborative attitude and ability to lead his or her team
- 80-90% time spent on the floor; high levels of communication
- Prefer a Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Environment / Health / Safety but not required
- 5 or more years related experience and thorough knowledge of both State and Federal safety, health and environmental regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Must come from a manufacturing background not construction.
- Proven accomplishments from previous employment.
- OSHA audit experience.
- Willingness to learn and grow.
- Able to work flexible hours, willingness to be on call.
