Assistant Golf Coach

LC State invites applications for the position of Assistant Golf Coach.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications : $47,325

Degree Required : Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university

Required Qualifications :

• Knowledge of NAIA or NCAA rules and regulations.
• Collegiate coaching experience or high school coaching experience in the sport of golf
• Outstanding skills in communication and organization.
• Ability to multitask effectively; demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making; effective problem solver and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to travel and work nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Experience playing competitive golf at the collegiate level.
• Experience coaching at a collegiate level or instructing in the game of golf preferred.
• CPR certification preferred. (May obtain certification upon arrival)

Responsibilities :

The Assistant Golf and Warrior Zone Coordinator will support the golf program and the Warrior Zone student club, dedicating approximately two-thirds of their time to golf-related responsibilities and one-third to Warrior Zone activities.

This role will involve assisting with the management and promotion of the golf program, including event coordination and daily operations, while also contributing to the planning and execution of student-led events and activities for the Warrior Zone.

To enhance the golf program by providing robust administrative and event support, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for golf student-athletes.

At the same time, invigorate school spirit by actively participating in and supporting the Warrior Zone student club, helping to organize and energize the student cheering section at athletic events.

This role demands strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to both athletic and student engagement.

Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.
