Summary :
Responsible for developing, implementing, and validating Company-wide information security program including : policies, standards, and procedures.
Monitors compliance across IT and works with Audit to develop audit requirements to measure adherence to policies and standards.
Builds and implements security awareness programs. Designs and implements controls to mitigate risks and address any gaps identified during risk assessment.
Job Duties :
- Protects system by consulting on and developing access privileges, control structures, and resources.
- Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities; reporting violations.
- Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
- Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
- Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.
- Keeps CIO informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status; conducting periodic security audits and reviews.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Oversees end-user setup and profile assignment in accordance with security policy.
- Participates in Blackstone Information Security conference calls and updates.
- Performs procedures and assessments necessary to ensure the safety of information system assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
- Investigates, documents, and resolves information security incidents. Ensures users understand and adhere to necessary procedures to maintain security.
- Advises management of critical issues that may affect customers, suppliers or company.
- Serves as a senior level Information Security Officer responsible for managing the relationship with assigned business units with regard to the Information Security Program.
- Oversees the IT portion of risk assessment in the context of enterprise risk assessment activities. Interacts with end users as well as all levels of management, senior executives, and technical and business sources.
- Responsible for a deep understanding of business processes and technology used within the assigned areas to ensure that the business is in compliance with regulatory requirements and the Lendmark Information Security Policy and applicable procedures, processes and standards.
- Serves as Program Owner and provides maintenance of program documentation, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with changes in business or regulatory drivers.
Required Skills / Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field
- 5-10 years experience in information security field
- Significant experience managing others
- System Administration / Security, Problem Solving, Information Security Policies and Procedures, Informing Others, Process Improvement, Audit and Controls processes and practices
Preferred Skills / Qualifications :
- CISA or CISSP certification
- Financial services industry-specific experience highly desirable
Compensation :
- The salary range for this position is $165,000 - $200,000 annually, based on the specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and / or Experience of the selected candidate.
- This position is eligible for Semi-Annual Incentive compensation based on individual and company performance guidelines.
