Job Summary

We are hiring CDL P Shuttle Drivers who are passionate about safety, customer service, punctuality, communicates well, and possess great skills following directions and anticipating the un-expected.

The expectation is to transport passengers safely and efficiently using a commercial vehicle, i.e., shuttle bus. Essential duties and responsibilities are listed below :

Driving : Operating a commercial vehicle, to transport passengers from one location to another. This includes adhering to traffic laws, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring passenger comfort.

Route Planning : Determining the best routes to reach destinations in a timely and efficient manner. This involves utilizing GPS systems, maps, or other navigation tools to minimize travel time in addition to determining the safest and most efficient route.

Vehicle Maintenance : Always perform the required pre, and / or post before, during, and after your respective trip / tour.

This is not negotiable, as it is a DOT safety requirement to ensure that the vehicle is always in proper working order and meeting safety requirements.

This may involve checking the vehicle's fluid levels, brakes, lights, tires, and other mechanical components.

Customer Service : Providing excellent customer service by being courteous, professional, and assisting passengers with any needs or questions they may have during the respective trip.

Shuttle drivers should also assist with passenger luggage. It is extremely important to ensure passenger safety always, and to maintain a clean interior environment.

Safety and Compliance : Adhering to all applicable driving regulations, including traffic laws, hours-of-service requirements, and company policies.

Shuttle driver must also maintain accurate records of their driving activities, such as Electronic Log Device (ELD) or manual logbooks, fuel receipts, or any other required documentation.

Communication : Effectively communicating with dispatchers, passengers, or other team members to relay relevant information, address concerns, or coordinate schedules.

Problem-solving : Quick thinking and adapting to various situations, such as traffic congestion, road closures, or unexpected passenger requests.

This may involve finding alternative routes, adjusting schedules, or accommodating passengers' needs within the limits of company policies.

Safety Awareness : Prioritizing the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other drivers on the road by practicing defensive driving techniques and maintaining a responsible and alert mindset.

Qualifications :

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.

Valid Commercial Drivers License.

DOT Medical Certification.

Clean background check.

Commercial Drivers License with P Endorsement.

Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial motor vehicle operator.

Impeccable driving skills, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for positive client interactions.

Familiarity with the local area ie. Raleigh, Durham, Chapel, to include Raleigh Durham International Airport and local FBOs, routes, and the ability to navigate using GPS systems.

Professional demeanor, punctuality, and attention to detail.

Ability to adapt to changing situations and provide solutions under pressure.

Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and client requirements.

Requirements

Ability to work 5am-8am and / or 5pm-8pm

Mandatory 2 weekends per month

100% completion of pre and post trip inspections.

CDL-P Endorsed Shuttle Driver must be able to drive all Commercial Motor Vehicles 9+ passengers

Must maintain an excellent driving record.

Must be at least 25 years of age.
