Job Summary
As an Early Morning Inventory Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining workflow and count processes, operating a forklift, organizing and validating inventory counts, and providing exceptional member shopping experiences.
This role involves working collaboratively with team members across departments to complete related merchandise counts and inventory control responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate organized processes with speed and accuracy
- Process damaged or defective merchandise and follow appropriate salvage, donation, and return procedures
- Obtain return authorizations from vendors and process merchandise returns
- Coordinate and execute department inventory counts within assigned deadlines
- Follow count processes and procedures accurately
- Maintain correct stock / inventory status for damaged, defective, and returned merchandise
- Administer salvage and donation merchandise orders
- Conduct club safety walks and escalate findings to supervisors
- Support inventory control count team in executing count processing
- Process merchandise recalls and returns
- Ensure the department is organized, clean, and follows safety standards
- Maintain necessary training and certifications to operate a forklift
- Adhere to all club policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
Qualifications
- Successful completion of required training and certification processes
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Environmental Job Conditions
- Most of the time is spent moving about on hard surfaces
- May require lifting objects up to 30 pounds
- Exposure to indoor, outdoor, and extreme temperatures
- Frequent exposure to hazardous materials
