North Central Human Service Center Minot, ND Functional Family Therapist
Sign on bonus up to $10,000
This position is eligible for an 9% pay differential in addition to the base salary.
As a Functional Family Therapist , you will provide evidence-based services to families with youth ages 11 through 18 years old who are at risk or have been referred for behavioral or emotional problems.
The Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model is designed to empower youth and families by creating strength-based behavior change that will be sustained long after treatment ends.
This rewarding career works with adolescents and their families by tailoring services to the individual family using treatment protocols, case management, crisis intervention, community outreach and in-home services.
You will function as part of an FFT team and will participate in weekly team supervision and consultation from FFT trained clinicians.
This position is located in Minot and may be eligible for hybrid or in-office / remote work. Typical work schedule includes evenings and the ability to be flexible to meet the scheduling needs of families.
Most therapists can build their full-time schedules around their caseload to create an alternate work schedule leaving time for family, schooling, or self-care.
We also offer flexibility for classes, internship possibilities within our organization, and the availability for licensure supervision.
To thrive in this position , you should be comfortable working with adolescents and families, using cultural responsivity and trauma informed practice.
You should also have effective interpersonal and relationships skills and be able to individualize program interventions to utilize adolescent / family strengths.
To be considered for this position , you must have one of the required degrees / licensures listed below :
A master’s degree in counseling, or any other master’s degree approved by the North Dakota Board of Counseling Examiners, and ND licensure as a LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor);
LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor); or LAPC (Licensed Associate Professional Counselor).
A master’s Degree in Social Work and ND licensure by the ND Board of Social Work Examiners as a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker);
LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker); or LBSW (Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker), if licensed as a LBSW you will also be required to have two years of professional human services work experience as a social worker, human relations counselor, developmental disabilities case manager, mental illness case manager, vocational rehabilitation counselor, activity therapist, addiction counselor, registered nurse, employment counselor, or a similar professional level position in the public or private sector.
- A master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy by the ND Board of Marriage and Family Therapy and licensure as a LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist).
- OR a Doctorate in Psychology and licensure as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
