Sign on bonus of $1,500 paid in 2 installments!
Position Summary : Provide childcare and support for contract children requiring in-office and community-based supervision.
Hours will vary from business hours to evening, weekend and possible overnight care in the KVC office. Driving is required to provide transportation as needed for our clients;
use of fleet vehicles is available.
Location : Kansas City KS - E venings, Nights, and Weekends
Education : A GED or High School Diploma
Experience : Experience in working with vulnerable and at-risk children and older youth required.
Licensure / Certification : Current, valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance required
Essential Duties :
- Establish and maintain a safe, nurturing environment in the office or community setting that fosters a sense of security and care for children.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, safe activities such as art projects, puzzles, reading, and homework support.
- Transport children to and from placements, appointments, or visits as needed.
- Communicate any concerns or relevant information to the child’s assigned worker.
- Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and ensure the confidentiality of all matters.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team in alignment with KVC’s values.
- Serve as a mandated reporter for suspected abuse or neglect.
- Provide backup support to Case Managers when necessary.
- Complete and submit case activity logs as required.
