The Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota (AERC) was established over 30 years ago by a group of veterinarians who wanted to provide their clients with quality veterinary care during non-business hours.

Today, we employ a wide variety of veterinarians, board-certified specialists, and health care team members, all on-hand for when your pet just isn't feeling like himself.

We're proud to be the only locally-owned emergency and specialty hospital for pets in the state of Minnesota.

Are you the Safety Coordinator we're looking for?

To excel as a Safety Coordinator at Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota, you'll need a diverse skill set that includes 2+ years of experience in a clinic environment, a deep understanding of OSHA regulations, and the ability to effectively multitask while maintaining a sharp focus during inspections.

Your role will involve coaching others to enhance safety performance, providing training on regulations and policies, and recognizing potential hazards in the workplace.

Experience in risk estimation, implementing procedures to reduce hazards, hazard identification, and disposal of hazardous materials is crucial for success in this dynamic role.

Knowledge & Skills required :

  • 2+ Experience and / or training in a clinic environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and processes
  • Ability to multi-task and must have a critical eye for inspections
  • Willingness to coach others to improve safety performance
  • Previous experience on providing training on new regulations
  • policies and how to recognize hazards - Understands OSHA
  • Federal and State requirements
  • Prior experience in estimating risks and providing input to improved procedures on how to reduce risks and hazards in a manufacturing facility
  • Prior experience in identifying hazards according to standard procedure and establishing and maintaining a system for handling and disposing of hazardous materials
