Job Description : Ninyo and Moore has an immediate opening in Salt Lake City, Utah for a Project Geotechnical Engineer or Geologist to manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, including meeting and interacting with the client, and managing budgets.
- The Project Engineer will coordinate and participate in field activities, including logging of borings, test pits, trenches and cores;
- evaluation of geologic and seismic hazards; forensic evaluation of distressed structures and failed slopes; perform liquefaction, slope stability, and settlement analyses;
and prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and reports. Duties of the Project Engineer will also include providing technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists and field technicians.
Education : B.S. / B.A. required (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Geology, or related), M.S. preferred.
Required Skills : The successful candidate should be a licensed professional engineer with 4+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting.
The ideal candidate should bring local experience and familiarity with the local engineering practice. Candidate should be a team player, be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Experience with construction and grading activities is strongly desired.
