The Role

The Operational Safety Coordinator (OSC) plays a key supporting role in ensuring Wayve's autonomous vehicle fleet testing is safe, compliant, and well-documented. Reporting to the Operational Safety Manager, the OSC monitors daily risks, supports incident response, maintains safety documentation, and contributes to audits and compliance reviews. This is a safety-critical role, subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing. It also requires some out-of-hours availability to support US operations and flexibility to attend cross-geo meetings online, occasionally outside of US office hours.

What You'll Own

• Investigating safety violations and concerns through to resolution, and supporting incident and accident management processes to guarantee safety-related issues are resolved quickly and effectively
• Daily monitoring and evaluation, of leading and lagging metrics to ensure emergent operational risks are identified, recorded and mitigated
• Owning our operational safety framework and culture to guarantee safe and efficient operations, including the review and update of risk assessments, safety requirements and safety performance indicators
• Leading or supporting formal and informal audits of our operational safety policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure the highest quality is maintained across our operational safety framework
• Updating our Operational Safety strategy to account for our fleet and site(s) expansion, system modifications and upgrades, and support AV pilot operations conducted internally or in conjunction with partners
