Our firm is seeking a highly motivated, junior level Associate Attorney specializing in Asbestos Defense to join our dynamic team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a successful, growing legal practice and work with a team of professionals committed to delivering high-quality legal services.
Responsibilities :
- Manage a caseload of asbestos defense cases from inception through to resolution.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and prepare for trial.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal developments related to asbestos and toxic tort law.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in all legal proceedings.
- Provide exceptional client service, including regular status updates and prompt responses to inquiries.
Qualifications :
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
- 2-4 years of experience in asbestos defense.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a diverse caseload.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
