The Sales Engineer will play a critical role in bridging the business development and operations divisions to ensure that new solar projects are bid accurately and promptly.
Responsibilities include supporting all business development efforts with sales proposals and cost savings analyses, using software like Helioscope and Energy Toolbase for preliminary designs and proposals.
The Sales Engineer will coordinate and prepare subcontractor quotes, manage multiple ongoing projects, and maintain bidding deadlines.
They will oversee new sales opportunities through the sales cycle, complete site visits, and ensure thorough documentation and compliance with financier requirements.
Additionally, the Sales Engineer will research project requirements, manage preliminary site surveys, and work with the Director of Operations to finalize project schedules and estimates.
Key Requirements :
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Minimum of 3 years of estimating and / or project management experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the photovoltaic industry (commercial experience preferred)
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred
- Knowledge of residential and commercial solar PV systems
- Working knowledge of construction costs and principles
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
- Basic knowledge of CAD and Helioscope or Aurora
Salary Range : $80-$110k + Plus Bonus
