We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Commercial Estimator to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry.

As a Commercial Estimator, you will be responsible for all aspects of project estimation, from conceptual budgeting to cost analysis.

Job Details

Responsibilities :

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for all cost categories.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain bids.
• Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare conceptual budgets based on minimal information.
• Analyze and compare bids from subcontractors and suppliers for completeness and accuracy.
• Conduct site visits and prepare reports on findings.
• Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure estimates align with project goals and budget.
• Use advanced software like Procore or BlueBeam for project and cost management.
• Participate in the negotiation and awarding of contracts.
• Continually monitor industry trends and pricing to ensure the company is getting the best price on supplies and services.
• Provide ongoing cost analysis of construction projects, tracking changes and offering solutions to cost overruns.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial construction estimation.
• Proficiency in budgeting, costing, and financial analysis.
• Expertise in blueprint reading and understanding of construction processes.
• Experience with construction software like Procore.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Excellent analytical and forecasting skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with fitness and gym construction is a plus.
