About The Position
Job Title : Certified Surgical Technologist Job Specialty : Operating Room (OR) Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day shifts, 10 or 12 hours Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 3+ years in a scrub role, preferably with experience in Orthopedic, Neuro, and Vascular procedures License : Certification as a Scrub Technologist Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have : - Strong experience in traumatic orthopedic cases and neurological procedures - Ability to float between all ORs in PeriOperative services, including the Outpatient Surgery Center, Burn OR, and occasionally Trauma OR Job Description : Perform duties as a Certified Surgical Technologist in a dynamic OR environment - Assist the surgical team, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available - Utilize routine OR equipment and supply OmniCell systems - Work as part of a team with Registered Nurses (RNs) - Minimal orientation needed for experienced candidates - Participate in 3-6 late days per six-week schedule - Opportunity for self-scheduling, without guaranteed blocked schedules - No on-call, night, weekend, or holiday shifts - Float as necessary to various ORs and specialized outpatient areas within the scope of practice - Change into hospital scrubs upon arrival and change out on exit - Participate in the department-specific orientation program tailored for experienced Certified Surgical Technologists - Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain a sterile environment at all times This opportunity allows you to gain diverse experience by rotating across different OR settings while working shifts that do not require on-call duties, nights, weekends, or holidays.
