Role and Responsibilities

The BMW Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

Our dealership seeks individuals with creativity to provide world class customer-oriented service support, insuring customer satisfaction.

The BMW Service Technician requires extensive knowledge of the BMW products and brand.

  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnoses the cause of malfunction and performs the needed repair.
  • Communicates with parts department to obtain the needed parts.
  • Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Advises service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
  • Road-test vehicles to quality-check work performed as required, keeping in mind safety and seat belts must be worn at all times.
  • Offer logical diagnostic services or repairs to satisfy customers concerns.
  • Complete correct repair order; write-in or input by computer all repair orders clearly and concisely, in accordance with dealership and BMW policies.
  • Make sure all repair orders include a clear definition of the problem and are written legibly or input correctly in the computer.
  • Documents all work performed as soon as the job is completed.
  • Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wastes.
  • Ensures that customer cars are kept clean.
  • Attends factory-sponsored training classes and keeps abreast of factory technical bulletins.
  • Participate in all in-dealership service training activities, including the ’Right to Know program.
  • Follow factory and dealership procedures when performing warranty work.
  • Record causes of failure, and a description of work done, accurately and clearly on all repair orders.
  • Offers highest level of customer service.
  • Anticipates clients’ long-term vehicle and service needs throughout the client’s relationship with Daniels BMW.
  • Promotes BMW standards for superior client satisfaction.
  • Maintains high ethical standards and a professional appearance at all times.
  • Strive for complete customer satisfaction in every case; in relationship with customers and fellow employees, help build a positive dealership and product image.
  • Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned and / or required by business need.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Prior experience as an Automotive Service Technician.
  • ASE certification is preferred.
  • Candidate must be dynamic, self-driven, customer service focused individual.
  • Demonstrates passion about the BMW brand and our products.
  • Outgoing and friendly, especially while handling objections.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications, in-person and over the phone.
  • Capable of learning and using Microsoft Office, software, and proprietary programs.
  • Reynolds experience is a plus.
  • Candidate must have personal integrity, be open, honest, and can be trusted.

Candidate will interact with others in a manner that builds rapport, and gains confidence.
