Position Overview
We are seeking a 5-AXIS LASER PROGRAMMER to join our team. This individual works with a group to ensure accurate programs are written for stamped sheet metal production parts processing through our multiple Prima LaserNext 5-axis laser machines.
The role requires strong RML / G-Code skills, attention to detail, and a passion for quality. You will work with project managers, engineers and operations to ensure we meet customer specifications.

Essential Job Functions
- Manage programming and priorities in the laser department
- Program new part geometry for 5-axis laser cutting
- Set-up laser fixtures and support operations in dialing in parts for accuracy and cosmetic acceptance
- Rectify issues that arise which could compromise part production results
- Work to continuously improve efficiency
- Support engineering on fixture design and process path
- Manage customer initiatives through project launch, new system implementation and cost savings
- Maintain positive relationships with operations personnel through direct contact on all aspects of projects including development, implementation and continued production demands
- Manage resources required to meet customer requirements
- Support quality through understanding of part prints, specifications and use of inspection fixtures for part validation
Experience / Education Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of 5-axis programming experience.
Skills / Abilities
Programming of CO2 and / or Fiber 5-Axis lasers.
Proficiency in CAD software (ie Solidworks, Autocad).
Must have understanding of RML / G-Code for editing and identifying.
PC proficient, including experience with MS office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to use inspection tools (ie calipers, micrometer, etc).
Strengths in decision making, prioritization, problem solving follow up and detail.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with positivity and purpose.
