Elementary- 8 : 30a-3 : 40p
Middle School- 7 : 45a-2 : 55p
High School- 7 : 15a-2 : 25p
Job Responsibilities :
The teacher is responsible for working collaboratively with school staff to develop and implement effective specialized instruction that meets each individual’s goals, and is contained within the Individual Education Plan.
The teacher is also responsible for creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques for learners with disabilities.
Qualifications :
- Applicants must hold appropriate Current Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator Licensure with Special Education Endorsement (PK-Age 21)
- Excellent communication skills with students, teachers and parents
- Knowledge of current teaching techniques for students with disabilities
- Ability to write & implement Individual Education Plans (IEP’s)
- Ability to work cooperatively with support personnel on a daily basis
- Satisfactory special education teaching experience
