PURPOSE OF POSITION

The primary role of this position will be to work with various engineers to create and modify 3D computer models, detail 2D drawings, and update other needed documentation for new and modified equipment.

Additional duties include administration of the CAD system, managing CAD workflows, creating technical drawings, release revision control, assisting with testing, and ensuring production has necessary information available from Engineering.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

More specifically, the person will :

• Create 3D models.
• Detail models into 2D shop floor documents.
• Create technical drawings for spare parts books and manuals.
• Create part numbers in the ERP system and maintain those part numbers.
• Maintain document revision control of drawings & BOM’s.
• Maintain and create solutions for the PDM (Product Data Management) system workflow to optimize engineering output.
• Assist with the testing of new or development projects and problem-solving activities

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE COMPUTER SKILLS

• Associate’s degree in drafting / computer aided design.
• Knowledge and experience working with Solidworks and DraftSight.
• Experience with Solidworks PDM
• Experience with Solidworks Composer
• Experience drafting large mechanical equipment is a plus.
• Experience with ERP (Genius) is a plus.
• 2 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Microsoft Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel.
