Job Description :
The Accounts Payable Specialist performs a variety of Accounts Payable duties in support of accounting team; maintains accurate financial records;
and performs a variety of duties related to assigned area of responsibility.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years Accounts Payable experience
- Must have a minimum of 2 years Quickbooks experience
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel) is required
- Experience with problem research and resolution
- Must be organized, have a high degree of accuracy, be detail oriented and must be able to meet deadlines
- Must be a responsive Team player with ability to prioritize among numerous pressing tasks.
- Strong communication skills needed to maintain positive working relationships with vendors
Job Duties :
- Process all incoming PO and Non-PO invoices received through email / mail.
- Must check invoices for accuracy, including PO numbers and appropriate approvals.
- Communicate with vendors and management to resolve inquires / discrepancies.
- Reconcile statements, request outstanding invoices and ensure payments are up to date.
- Pull invoices from vendor portals and get necessary approvals for entry.
- Prepare and process weekly Accounts Payable reports for weekly check runs.
- Make vendor payments (checks, ACH, credit cards).
- Maintain AP email box(s) with timely responses.
- Other various assigned duties.
