We need a Senior and experienced Executive Assistant to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment supporting the Front Office of a major ship acquisition program.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities for this position are to directly support the Program Manager as an Executive Assistant to ensure optimal operations.
The position is seated in the Washington Navy Yard and requires an on-site presence during the work week. A hybrid opportunity of 1 day remote work is possible after a 6 month full time period to allow for full access to all systems and to build the interpersonal network required for success in this position.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, attitude and abilities.
- Executive Assistant and Front Office Management Support : The contractor shall provide senior executive, analytical, management and administrative support for the DDG 51 program office to include direct support to the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager.
- Maintain the calendar, coordinate with internal and external offices to schedule meetings, obtain and deliver briefing materials, manage schedule changes, and create daily and weekly schedule binders.
- Maintain and deconflict schedules, facilitate meetings, escort guests and manage correspondence.
- Work with the program office personnel to develop briefings, point papers, and action item responses.
- Mentor the junior / mid Executive Assistant in the performance of his / her duties.
- Maintain organizational rosters and work with supporting and supported organization to track changes.
Qualifications
- 7+ years' experience supporting Navy or DoD Senior Principals in an administrative support role (Note : Experience supporting the Navy or DoD is mandatory to be considered for this position.)
- Active DoD Security Clearance
- High proficiency with MS Office and calendar management.
Desired
- Familiarity with US Navy Correspondence requirements.
- Former Navy Yeoman CPO / PO1 or Admin rating.
