Payroll Specialist

Job Summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to process payroll accurately and efficiently for our organization.

The ideal candidate will ensure timely payment of employees, maintain payroll records, and comply with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Process bi-weekly / monthly payroll for all employees
• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Prepare and file payroll tax returns and other required reports
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues
• Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with month-end closing
• Administer garnishments and other payroll withholdings
• Prepare year-end tax forms (W-2s, 1099s)
• Assist in payroll system maintenance and upgrades
• Collaborate with HR to process new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience in payroll processing
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and tax regulations
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
