Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of teens? We're looking for a dedicated Teen Program Director to lead and inspire some of the most promising youth in the Sugar House area.

About the Role :

As our Teen Program Director, you'll be the driving force behind a diverse range of programs for teens aged 11-18 (6th-12th grade).

Your mission is to develop, implement, and evaluate programs that resonate with our teens' needs, interests, and aspirations.

You'll also take charge of building and maintaining strong relationships with our community partners, school administrations, and the families we serve.

This role isn't just about planning activities; it's about leading with vision and heart. You'll be managing budgets, supervising staff, and ensuring that every program meets its goals.

You'll also have the opportunity to mentor and guide our team, creating a supportive and empowering environment where both staff and teens can thrive.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership & Development : Hire, train, and evaluate staff, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to succeed. Lead by example, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.

Program Management : Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of teen programs, ensuring they meet the needs of our members and the community.

Community Engagement : Cultivate strong relationships with local schools, district partners, and community organizations to enhance program support and participation.

Administrative Excellence : Manage budgets, handle grant reporting, and maintain accurate program records. Ensure all paperwork is completed promptly and accurately.

Positive Discipline : Guide teens in making appropriate choices and address any behavioral issues with positive discipline techniques.

What You Bring :

Passion : A deep commitment to youth development and the ability to inspire others.

Experience : A two-year college degree or equivalent experience in youth service and management. Proven ability to manage, motivate, and supervise staff.

Knowledge : Understanding of teen development principles, group dynamics, and effective guidance techniques.

Skills : Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office) and strong organizational abilities.

Flexibility : The ability to adapt to change and handle various tasks as assigned by the Club Director.

Additional Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to drive a 15-passenger vehicle.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Capable of standing and moving for more than 2 hours at a time.
