We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our small team in the Real Estate & Property industry located in ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, including preparing and recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with payroll.
The environment is very relaxed and there is never any overtime required it's a Monday-Friday position. The company pays 100% of employee's healthcare benefits.
Responsibilities :
- Manage the documentation and monitoring of financial transactions
- Accountable for the preparation and filing of financial documents
- Oversee the updating of the general ledger
- Prepare trial balances for review by the controller
- Reconcile entries to balance subsidiary accounts
- Manage the general ledger to ensure it remains balanced
- Assist in the creation of budgets and in developing policies and procedures
- Participate in the month-end-close process
- Validate accounting data for accuracy
- Process payroll and track payroll in Paychex
- Must hold at least 5 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar within the Real Estate & Property industry
- Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
- Capable of performing Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently
- Experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries creation
- Demonstrated ability to handle Month End Close processes
- Proficient in using QuickBooks Desktop for accounting purposes
- Experience in assisting in preparing annual budgets
- Knowledgeable in Administrative Policy and Procedure development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Highschool diploma or Assoicate degree in accounting
- Experience with processing payroll through PayChex or simlar 3rd party vendor
