Case Manager
Career Consulting Partners has formed a partnership with one of the largest injury firms in the state of California which has been in business for over 30 years.
Our firm is seeking a Case Manager to work with our personal injury department with some exposure to workers' compensation, and employment law departments.
You will work directly with attorneys and other members of the Personal Injury department. In addition, the Case Manager may be tasked with special projects on an as-needed basis requiring direction and guidance by Management and / or other Pod Leaders.
DUTIES :
- Oversee and manage a caseload of 100+ pre-litigation matters with the support of pod leaders and firm staff.
- Conduct client, witness, and law enforcement interviews.
- Initiate insurance claims with third-party and first-party carriers.
- File Medi-Cal and Medicare claims on behalf of clients.
- Collect police reports and other supporting evidence.
- Perform third-party research, including asset searches and policy limit verification.
- Request, receive, and document medical records.
- Assist clients with property damage claims, including coordinating inspections, reimbursements, and release execution.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding medical treatment and symptoms.
- Correspond with claims adjusters and medical providers.
- Participate in monthly file reviews with the assigned Personal Injury attorney.
- Compile all necessary documents for the demand writing team.
- Negotiate settlements with claims adjusters.
- Guide clients through the settlement process, including offer communication, medical provider negotiations, and settlement disbursements.
- Manage incoming mail and ensure timely action.
- Assist the Personal Injury attorney with tracking and submitting required government claims.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scanning, photocopying, and file maintenance.
- Actively manage each case medically, including reviewing reports, scheduling appointments, and coordinating care.
- Lead liability and insurance investigations, sending spoliation letters, and collecting evidence such as photos and witness statements.
- Oversee cases involving government entities, including filing claims and tracking notices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management or the pod team.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Possess a working knowledge of personal injury pre-litigation matters;
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Personal Injury law firm;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel) and other applications and / or systems (i.e.,
- Adobe, Internet);
- Professional appearance and get it done attitude;
- The right candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish, is required.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS :
- Base Compensation : $30 - $40 hr.
