Senior Fund Accountant

A real estate investment group is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team on a contract to hire basis!

Responsibilities :

• Manage the day-to-day accounting activities for real estate investment funds, including recording fund transactions, reconciling cash and investment accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for investment funds in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate the preparation and distribution of investor reports, including capital account statements, performance summaries, and tax information, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to fund investors.
• Assist with the annual audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries to facilitate the completion of fund audits. Requirements :
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in fund accounting, preferably within the real estate investment industry or financial services sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools, with experience working with real estate investment management systems (e.

g., Yardi, MRI) considered a plus.
