Overview

Responsibilities

The Analyst, Risk Management role will support NISA's risk management initiatives to enhance enterprise and operational risk management and reporting.

Areas and activities for operational risk span across our investment management process, including client servicing, client reporting, trade execution, transaction settlement, portfolio accounting and new product development.

The Analyst role will work with business partners and senior risk team members to maintain and enhance our risk program through the following :

Perform risk and control self-assessments and business impact analysis

  • Develop, maintain and monitor key risk indicators
  • Analyze operational risk events and help implement solutions
  • Assist in the identification of key enterprise risk management activities; review related policies, procedures and processes
  • Support and enhance our technology capabilities for systems used within Risk Management
  • Support our third-party risk management function and help build the tools and technology for advancement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience using MS Office products
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of staff
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in the financial services industry, including experience in operational risk management, risk & controls, operations, trading, third-party risk management, consulting or audit, preferably in an investment management environment
  • Any experience using or implementing Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems considered a plus
