As Head of Culture + Experience (HOC), you'll design and implement programs, events, and meaningful interactions throughout the guest journey, embodying the essence of the Outbound brand.

The Virginian Lodge is a reimagined and restored hotel in the heart of Jackson, Wyoming. Surrounded by the wide open spaces of Jackson Hole, our retro-inspired Wyoming lodge has everything you need for memory-making : spacious rooms, a lively saloon, all-season pool, and cozy fire pits for winding down after a day of exploration.
You will possess energy, creative prowess, and the ability to execute year-round experiences for guests and the community;
by activating physical spaces, creating meaningful collaborations with local artists and adventurers, and documenting the activations at the hotel to share with the world online.
In addition, you will be responsible for improving and executing the guest experience from check-in, stay, and check-out.

- Organized & Budget-Savvy : Strong budgeting and planning skills, capable of executing events within budget while leveraging partnerships to maximize value.
- Social Media & Content Creation : Experienced in creating engaging, brand-aligned content, with the ability to capture quality images and work with partners to amplify social media presence.

SAMPLE WORK DELIVERABLES
- Bi-Annual Experience / Event Plan and Budget
- Calendar of Events, with new content and programming rolled out monthly
- Calendar of Adventures, curated with local partners in the area
- Creating seasonal packages in partnership with the sales team
- Website updates, including events, seasonal updates, etc
- Social Media account management
- Media & influencer tours, and other local promotional appearances
- Monthly and annual activity summary report to include in meetings with ownership
- Production and execution of successful events and activations for the property
- Leadership in implementing new, innovative missions : i.e. plastic-free initiatives, merch collaborations, artist-in-residence activations, brand partnerships, collaborations with local makers
- Curating the daily vibe of the hotel - ensuring that everything from the playlists in the common spaces to the coffee bar are consistently on-brand.
- Collaboration with the onsite saloon in new specials and creative direction.
PERFORMANCE METRICS
- Increase in legitimate social media followers (i.e. not bots) and engagement scores.
- Completing at least 90% of the approved seasonal experience plan.
- Creating innovative content and experience that contribute to winning hotel best of awards in Conde Nast, T&L, local rankings, etc.
- Staying on budget, or better yet, unlocking revenue (profit) opportunities.
- Create events and experiences successfully within the Outbound brand guidelines.
- Positive mentions of "experience" in TripAdvisor; Google, Yelp, overall ranking.
- Guests from other hotels / the local community gather on a regular basis at the hotel for events, programming, and to eat + drink.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience :
Knowledge of hospitality, travel, social scenes, event planning, social media, branding, mountain tour and travel, art, music, brand development, or joint marketing are all a plus.
Other : Bonus points if you speak additional languages
Skills & Abilities :

QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS :
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and / or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the employee will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently with or without reasonable accommodation.
ESSENTIAL :
- Superb product and branding knowledge
- Understands industry and vision and how to execute successful programming
- Solid background in customer service and hospitality industry
- Strong understanding of event planning
DESIRABLE :
- A minimum of two (2) years in hotel operations and management.
- A minimum of one (1) year in event planning, banquet operations or food and beverage operations
- Experience in independent boutique properties.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Adaptable experience with travel industry reservation systems.
- Adaptable experience with hotel property management systems.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Operates with a sense of urgency and discipline.
