Early Preschool Teacher

We are seeking a nurturing, patient, and energetic co-teacher to join our early childhood education team, specifically working with children aged 6-24 months.

As a teacher for 6 months to 2 years old, you will play a critical role in their early development by creating a safe, loving, and stimulating environment that supports their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide individualized care and attention to each child, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences.
• Support language development through verbal interactions, songs, stories, and early literacy activities.
• Encourage fine and gross motor skills development through sensory play, movement exercises, and manipulative toys.
• Foster social and emotional skills by promoting positive interactions, sharing, and gentle guidance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Communicate daily with parents / guardians about their child’s activities, progress, and developmental milestones.
• Follow established schedules for meals, naps, and diaper changes, ensuring consistency and comfort for each child.
• Monitor and document children’s development and behaviors, reporting any concerns to parents and administration.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to maintain a cohesive and supportive team environment.

Qualifications :

• Experience working with young children, specifically infants or toddlers, in an early childhood education setting.
• Strong understanding of child development principles, especially for children under 2 years of age.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
• Ability to multitask and manage the needs of multiple children in a classroom setting.
• Certification in Infant and Child CPR and First Aid.
• 46 Hours DCF Child Care Training

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift and carry children, bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and stand for extended periods.
• Active participation in movement-based activities such as dancing, crawling, and playing with children.

Schedule :

Monday to Thursday 8 : 15 am to 4 : 15 pm and Friday 8 : 15 am to 2 : 15 pm.
